A man was critically injured Thursday evening outside a business in the Brentwood area when a person he’d argued with earlier in the day shot him, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.Police said they were called just after 5 p.m. to West 39th Street off North Pearl Street because of reports that someone had been shot.They found a man in his mid-40s suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and arm. He was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.Investigators said they learned the man argued with someone earlier in the day, and that person approached him as he was leaving the business, firing at him multiple times.Anyone with information is urged to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500, email [email protected], or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
