Duval County Public Schools said a Baldwin Middle-Senior High student was arrested Monday after they made threatening comments on social media. The district said an arrest isn’t an outcome it wants for any student.“The safety of our students and staff remains one of our highest priorities. Any comments or behavior that raise concerns about school safety are taken very seriously,” it said in part. The district is reminding parents and students that making a threat, in some cases, is a felony offense and students can face serious criminal consequences.
