City and county crews are monitoring roads in St. Johns County as king tides and heavy rain bring flooding concerns to St. Augustine. Several cars have stalled on flooded roads over the past week, city officials said.During a drive through the city, roads in the historic downtown area appeared wet but showed no significant flooding. There was some standing water along Oglethorpe Boulevard in Davis Shores, and water was ponding in other areas.The city said king tides were expected to affect the area from Friday the 9th through the 13th. Davis Shores residents said they were glad to have a seawall, which has helped address flooding in the neighborhood.At Maria Sanchez Lake, a seawall is in the design process, with a pump planned for the south end of the area.
