‘I’ll kill you right here!’ Son of Rapper Rick Ross pistol-whipped in Daytona Beach, police say

Daytona Beach police say they’ve arrested a man accused of threatening and pistol-whipping William Roberts III, a football player at Bethune-Cookman University and the son of rapper Rick Ross.Police say Roberts told them he was talking to a woman on a sidewalk October 11th, when Don Roberts III got out of a car, pointed a handgun at him, and shouted, “I don’t care who your daddy is, I’ll kill you right here.” That’s when Don Roberts III pistol-whipped him and took off, according to police. Ross’ son told police it may have had to do with the woman he was talking to and her previous relationship with the suspect, police say.Police say the victim came to them a day later, telling them he didn’t report the incident right away out of fear. Police say they ordered a photo lineup, and the victim picked out Don Roberts III from that lineup. Police arrested the suspect for aggravated assault and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
